Love of God - Part 2

Love of God ---> Love his Children.

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.( 1 John 5:1 ).

19: We love him, because he first loved us.
20: If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21: And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. ( 1 John 4:19-21 ).
Its quite evident from the above verses in the KJV that Love of God or Love for God is incomplete without the Love for Gods children. Love the brethren is proof of our love to God.
LOVE TO GOD--->CAUSE OF GOD
Love to God will produce love to his cause. But what is the cause of God. The highest display to Glory of God and santification of our souls.

Love of God is attended with frequent delightful thoughts.
1. Davids example in the Old testment.
2. Meditate upon his words ( Gods word ).

LOVE OF GOD ---> will delight in and deligently attend on those means.
What are those means?
1. Is Bible neglected?
2. Is prayer neglected?
3. Is language neglected?
4. Is good thought neglected?
5. Do we confess to God our sins ( Ez 33:31).

And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. ( Ezekiel 33:31 ).

LOVE OF GOD---> disposition to keep His commandments ( Future happiness depends upon present obedience & past repentence ).

LOVE OF GOD---> deep regret and humiliation for our past transgressions.
Dont excuse your past wickedness , or dwell upon it,or pride yourself on sinful past feats.

"There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? " - Genesis 39:9

"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." - Zechariah 12:10

LOVE OF GOD---> enjoy him in His heavenly Kingdom.
In order to enjoy the heavenly Kingdom it is necessary to fulfill the objects of Christian desires.
> Go to God for all suplications, assistance and counsel.
> Serve him with all his powers. ( What are the powers? ) indeed the spiritual gifts of God.
> Praise & Glorify His name.

Heaven is desirable to Children of God ( To rest from labour & suffering is good , but what about freedom from sin ). The Christian today hardly have religion today to offend the world. How far can one go in the pursuit of Jesus Christ and Gods glory.

LOVE OF GOD---> should be the grand characteristics of His children. This comes only through a serious self examination.

That's why its very important that we start by self examination and ask ourselves, how much are we supposed to live for Christ and for the Love of God the father., We cant have part in the Love of God but we need to fully drown ourselves into the Love of God.
